One of the most fascinating stories of history is the Benin empire. The Benin Empire was a flourishing city, rich in culture, infrastructure and a stable economy in trade. With a stain of the Bini ancestry in her blood as an indigene of the Ekpeye people of Rivers State, I decided to dig deeper into the culture and history of the people of Edo State understanding their reverence for the all-father Osanobua, their enthusiasm towards ancestral worship and their profound respect for the Crown. With this knowledge, I illustrated the affluence of the royalty and his entourage.
