The Ògbánjé is a spirit that is notorious for a continuous cycle of life and early death. In Igbo cosmology, Ògbánjé is grouped into different types depending on what each spirit enjoys doing. This body of work highlights four of them which include travelling, music, beauty and love. Nsịbịdị, cowries and Uli marks are used to portray the connection of the subjects, who appear to be young and expressive, to Igbo ancestry and culture. With this body of work, I aim to celebrate an age of people who, like me, are rediscovering the beauty of Igbo Cosmology.
