Francis Ogunyemi is a self-taught documentary photographer, born and based in Nigeria.
Photography makes him see differently, paying attention to details like light patterns, lines, beauty in colors, texture, and beautiful moments. He realises that every picture speaks and the message must be passed.
Francis is passionate about telling stories, he believes in photography to be a special "super power" to make impacts, set right values and rewrite wrong narratives, as he takes much interest in people, places, culture and life in its rawness. He's currently a member of the African Photojournalism Database (APJD), and his work has been exhibited at the Lagos Photo Festival '20 "Home Museum" and at Int'l Center for Photography (ICP) Museum in New York, both in 2020. He received a scholarship to attend an online workshop by Art of Freelance, where he had to work and showcase to fellow participants across other continents.
