Emmanuel Okonkwo is a painter, art educator, leader, songwriter, mixed media and experimental artist. He was trained at the Federal College of Education, Ehamufu and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively. His love for creativity has exposed him to experimenting with different mediums, styles and techniques. He currently infuses Ankara materials with oil colours to create artworks that are rich in context and aesthetic. He works mainly with African Uli and Nsibidi symbols and projects them out on the canvas to give it a rough textural feel. He has participated in numerous art exhibitions and art workshops around Nigeria, such as Limcaf 2017, and 2018, Dreams Alive exhibition 2015, and 2018. The Manifesto art exhibition 2018, Anbukraft 2018 and so on. He was the president of Vocational students Association, Ehamufu, 2015 and the Association of Fine and Applied Art Students, UNN in 2018.
