Edward Kamau is a Kenyan artist who works primarily in graphite and digital media. He draws inspiration from the people around him and from personal experiences. Edward uses art to tell stories of the intensity and profound strangeness of the collective human experience. Instead of representing things in a literal sense, he depicts the surreal and sometimes slightly abstract qualities of subjects with the intention of provoking thought and creating works with a deep emotional resonance. He believes that his art makes the world a better place, if not slightly more interesting and he strives to be of service in this way.
