Almat Adams (b.1998) is an artist who specializes in figurative and portraiture oil/digital paintings. She received her bachelor's degree in Fine and Applied Arts from Ambrose Alli University. She is deeply inspired by Light, people, her environment and the multi ethnic tribes that makes up the Rich Nigerian culture.
Her work explores cultural attires of the Yoruba and Edo people; Also portraitures depicting various moods. She's interested in creating realistic forms but its abstracted with loosed brush strokes and rich colors, and ultimately creating a sense of visual aesthetic that viewers can identify with.
In 2019 she participated in Mydrim Gallery's AFFORDABLE ART EXHIBITION. In 2020, she was a finalists for Thought Pyramid's 'NEXT OF KIN' Juried Art Exhibition. In 2021, she emerged as a finalist in the just concluded 'MADE IN NIGERIA ART' Masterclass and exhibiting on the 18th of May 2021. She is currently participating in the on going group exhibitions 'WHAT IS BLACK ART' and 'ART IS WEALTH.'
Her paintings authenticates her love for beauty, uniformity, genuine human emotions, cultural narratives, and how it affects people.
